Winter Recreation Program Announces New Sno-Park at Annette Lake
OLYMPIA – December 8, 2022 – The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission Winter Recreation Program, along with U.S. Forest Service (USFS) partners at the Snoqualmie Ranger District, are excited to announce a new winter Sno-Park and access area at exit 47 on I-90 West of the summit of Snoqualmie.
Annette Lake Sno-Park provides access to ungroomed marked trails for snow shoeing and backcountry skiing, along with easy access for family fun in the snow. Plowed parking for 40+ vehicles, a toilet, and winter kiosk information board are now available, along with education and enforcement services. A Sno-Park Permit is required to park at this location.
Seasonal or one-day Sno-Park permits can be purchased online on the Winter Recreation website or through a licensed vendor. Sno-Park Permits support continued access to recreational areas like Annette Lake and are required to park at all Washington Sno-Parks from December 1 through March 31 and may be required in November and April at land manager discretion.
Directions to Annette Lake Sno-Park:
Take exit 47 off I-90.
Turn right on NF 55 road.
Turn left on Asahel Curtis.
Continue 0.4 miles to parking area.
