Moorage Permit

This annual permit waives the moorage fee at State Park marine facilities.

The Annual Moorage Permit $5 per foot of your vessel's total length, with a $60 minimum.  It is valid from Jan 1 - Dec 31.

This permit is assigned to one vessel and is not interchangeable. Vessel registration or Cost Guard number must be provided upon purchase.  Vessels used commercially do not qualify for this permit.

Fee increase

Our moorage fees are increasing so we can continue providing unique boating experiences.  Moorage fees will increase on Jan. 1.  If you're pre-ordering a 2025 Moorage Permit, the fee increase will be reflected in the price.  Learn more here

How the permit works

When you arrive at a moorage site and secure your vessel, go ashore to register.  Fill out a fee envelope and include your moorage permit number.  Some parks offer phone-in registration at buoys, for an additional fee.  Instructions are available on participating buoys.

Registration and proof of payment is required between 1 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Other rules

Vessels rafted to other vessels must pay regular moorage fees.  Rafting is not allowed on buoys.

Buoys use is limited to vessel less than 45 feet in length, and may be less at certain parks.  Limits are posted on buoys.

This permit is not valid at reservable marina slips.

Commercial vessels are not permitted to moor at Washington State Parks.
